Author(s): Manisha Kumari

Abstract: The research paper highlights the role of soft power in international diplomacy which is a contention issue in policy communities. Soft power, the ability to influence others through attraction rather than coercion, is the means by which nations shape perceptions. It is an important tool for achieving desired outcomes in foreign policy. However, the effectiveness of soft power is more effective. Soft power is found to be international relations including economics, education, media and diplomacy making it a complex subject to investigate. A comprehensive understanding of the complexity of diplomacy and the role of soft power is essential to promote peace, stability and cooperation in the international system. It also provides valuable policy insights by emphasizing the importance of culture diplomacy and global engagement for soft power strategies. This study makes significant contributions to both theoretical discourse and practical policy making thereby deepening our understanding of power dynamics in international relations.
