Political reservation for women in panchayat raj system

Abstract: With the intention of providing representation to all the underprivileged women in all fields, the framers of the constitution have constitutionally provided reservation facilities to all the women including the Scheduled Castes, the scheduled tribes, the backward class, the Minorities and the Economically Backward upper caste communities, reservation has to women in the spheres of enables them been given education, employment, political field, to improve the status of women and to live independently and in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution. Increases the number of women who can make decisions in the political arena. The present article provides an overview of women's political reservation in the Panchayat Raj system.
