Understanding globalization and good governance in India: Issues and challenges

Abstract: Exposing the link between governance and globalization is a big topic in the scholarly discussion of the 21st century. Globalization as a multifaceted process has immensely affected the governance system worldwide, and India is no exception. Presently, this state is struggling to cope with many challenges to ensure effective governance and service delivery to the people. The prime objective of this paper is to discuss governance and its effectiveness in the developmental process of India in the context of a globalized environment. Finally, this paper has highlighted some lacunas of the governance system and suggested that this country requires the best alternative measures for the effective implementation of Good governance principles to take the benefits of the globalization process.
